A mob of 20 to 25 men entered a train compartment targeting Muslim passengers and beating them for refusing to chant 'Jai Sri Ram,' in Kolkota, West Bengal.

Case Update: Investigation is pending. The three victims were compensated 50,000 rupees each by the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banarjee. Police officials attribute the assault to the commotion of boarding and disembarking the train. Officials claim to be verifying the incident and no arrests have been made.
